Wat bedoeld was als een grap, bleek veel potentieel te hebben. Twee jaar na een aprilgrap lanceerden de oprichters van het Duitse ginmerk Siegfried 'Siegfried Wonderleaf': een alcoholvrije gin met lindebloesem, piment en jeneverbes.

Rheinland Distillers werd in 2014 opgericht. Met hun Siegfried Wonderleaf waren ze de eerste die in Duitsland een alcoholvrij alternatief bood voor klassieke gin. Een goeie tien jaar later is het assortiment uitgebreid met alcoholvrije versies van tequila en aperol.
